Now I know what network rack is

Nowadays kids a learning about many different things of which he had no idea when we were young. My son Eric can always ask me a question that makes me wonder if we live on the same planet. He is very bright kid with a lot of different hobbies and he is only three years old. Yesterday he told me that he wants a network rack for a birthday present and I did not even know what it was. I asked him what he was talking about and from where I knew such word. Well in his kindergarten they are often visiting many different places where they are taught about many fascinating topics. Last week they were in a network company where they were visiting a professional server room. A worker who guided them explained to all small visitors many different processes and structures that took place in the server room. When I was a kid the only place we visited in kindergarten was local park where we were feeding birds. Comparing this to a visit in a server room shows how times have changed since then. But maybe it have some good sides. Our children will be better educated and wiser than we are. Well of course sometimes I wonder if the new order of things is not taking away from them their childhood but maybe they see all those educational trips as a great fun. And we as a parents can also have something from that for us. At least now I know what the network rack is.
